Washington Wizards: A good look at their younger players

“A chance to get a good look at the young players” is what you say when there really aren’t many positives to look at. But on the bright side, the Washington Wizards were able to escape Orlando with their first bubble win after beating a Celtics team who all but forfeited with the lineup they put out there. But a win is a win.

The Wizards were never going to make a run for the 8th seed, but some of their players showed a little promise in the bubble environment. The frontcourt combo of Rui Hachimura and Thomas Bryant held their own over their eight-game Disney World stay, showing a real ability to stretch the floor.

Pairing those two with Bradley Beal, Davis Bertans, and a healthy John Wall could really open up the floor for Washington in 2021. The Wizards didn’t have a great showing in the NBA’s restart bubble by any means, but they could find some positive in it.
