Tyrese Haliburton, G, Iowa State

At 20 years old, Tyrese Haliburton stands at a 6-foot-5 combo guard that will be able to play both positions at the NBA level. After two strong seasons at Iowa State, it’ll be interesting to see how high Haliburton is taken in the 2020 NBA Draft. He will certainly be in play for the Chicago Bulls with the fourth overall pick.

Haliburton is a dynamic playmaker that has proved time and time again the ability to hit shots at a consistent rate. He’s fun to watch and shot the 3-ball at an effective rate (42% during his sophomore season). The great thing about Haliburton is that he also has the physical traits to be a good defender in the NBA. He averaged 2.5 steals per game this past season.

Haliburton is an all-around efficient player (25.9 PER in college) and would fit nicely next to Zach LaVine. It would create a formidable 1-2 punch in the backcourt that could grow to be unstoppable in the future. Haliburton will need time to not only grow into his long frame but also make the transition to the NBA; he could end up being a really good player down the line for Chicago.
