Winner: Us

Basketball was postponed to the COVID-19 pandemic and at the time, there was no reason to believe it would start again. But the league and the players union were able to come to an agreement, the bubble, and the season continued.

And holy hell has it been incredible.

If someone told you at the end of March that the bubble would happen, you might believe it. If that same person said T.J. Warren would be in the running for a bubble MVP and shoot the lights out, the Phoenix Suns would go an unbeaten 8-0 and Damian Lillard would pull his team up multiple spots to secure a playoff spot, you wouldn’t believe them. (Maybe you would on the last one… but you get the point).

Denver and Utah going to seven games with an NBA record for 50-point games, OKC pushing Houston to seven, Luka going absolutely Luka on us and we haven’t even seen the anticipated LA showdown which could very well happen in the Western Conference Finals.

In that whole paragraph, I didn’t even mention teams from the East. To be fair, it’s looking like the Eastern Conference Semifinals will be much juicier than the first round. Again, lucky us.
