Cole Anthony, G, North Carolina

Cole Anthony is a 6-foot-3 20-year-old point guard from North Carolina who has plenty of potential and talent. He can hit the 3-point shot with ease, has a high basketball IQ, and has connections to the NBA – he’s the son of former NBAer Greg Anthony.

Even though he was somewhat of a disappointment during his freshman season at North Carolina, Anthony was a highly touted player coming out of high school. He has all the tools to be an effective NBA player and even showed glimpses during his time with the Tar Heels.

Looking at his game against Notre Dame, for example, he scored 34 points, had 11 rebounds, and dished five assists. He’s a dynamic player that needs some work. His shooting efficiency was one of the biggest red flags in college, but that will hopefully improve with professional coaching.

I would love to see this guy making plays and facilitating on the floor for Booker and Ayton. What a group this could be. As his stock has dropped, the Suns could draft him at No. 10.
