Brooklyn Nets: 3 trade packages that could land them a third star
Trade packages that could land the Brooklyn Nets a third star
The Brooklyn Nets knew this summer that the 2019-20 NBA season was not about competing for a title but to get everyone in the organization on the same page so that they could jump into the 2020-21 NBA season healthy and ready to compete for an NBA championship.
With a healthy Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, the Nets will be capable of special things.
With Kevin Durant, you have in this writer’s opinion, the most offensively gifted player the NBA has ever seen. Coming into the league, Durant was a beast and he has continued to hone his skills and develop even further.
It says a lot that on teams with Russell Westbrook and James Harden in Oklahoma City, and Steph Curry and Klay Thompson in Golden State, that Kevin Durant was the most gifted scorer on both squads. An incredible array of moves whether from the 3-point line or within the arc, there is no real way to stop KD from getting where he wants and you can only hope to contain him at times as he will catch fire eventually and will put 20 on any team within minutes.
In Kyrie Irving, you get one of the true magicians of the game. Not since the days of Allen Iverson and Jamal Crawford has the league seen a player with better handles then Kyrie. Capable of rocking his man to sleep and blowing by him with ease, Irving has been one of the best point guards in the NBA for many years.
His playmaking abilities are also elite as he is capable of dishing the ball to his teammates at a high level. Together Kyrie and KD have the potential to be an incredibly special pairing.
While building around KD and Kyrie still seems to be the course of actions the Nets are going to take, there is potential for the Nets to make moves to further prepare themselves going into next season.
Here are three trade packages that could be good enough to land the Brooklyn Nets a third star to next to During and Kyrie.
