1. Minnesota Timberwolves – Anthony Edwards, G, Georgia

In the weeks leading up to the 2020 NBA Draft, I figure this to be a difficult decision for the Minnesota Timberwolves. If they don’t trade this pick, I firmly believe that a decision will have to be made between Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball. In the end, Edwards checks more boxes and fits better at the moment on the Wolves.

Edwards has the tools and ability to be a defensive force in the NBA and that’s something that the Wolves will love, perhaps the most. Next to D’Angelo Russell, that would be ideal. Edwards also has the ability to both play on or off-ball and is a good athlete for the guard position. He’ll have to prove to be a consistent jump shooter, but that will come with time.

A core three of Russell, Edwards, and Karl-Anthony Towns should get this fanbase excited and there’s no reason not to believe that this is a franchise that is on the rise. I’m not sure if we’ll begin to see the results during the 2020-21 season, but this is a team that could prove to be dangerous in the not-so-distant future.
