Giannis Antetokounmpo goes silent on ownership/team

Another potential move that Giannis Antetokounmpo could utilize if he feels his voice isn’t enough is going dark or silent on ownership, management, and the team. It’s not the most professional of moves, but one that sends a strong message and one that could force the organization to make a move, one way or another.

Perhaps most notably and most recently, LeBron James went dark on the Miami Heat during the summer of 2014. It resulted in him on the Cleveland Cavaliers by the time his free agency experience was over. Again, a bit of a different circumstance here, but it’s a tactic that has been used in the past.

From everything we know about Giannis, I highly doubt he’d use this tactic. Especially considering that he has one year remaining on his contract. However, if he requests roster improvement and doesn’t get it deep into the offseason, that’s when something like this could arise.

It could also lead to potential warning sign No. 3.
