Miami’s shooting
In the NBA’s restart bubble, there haven’t been many teams shooting the 3-point shot better than the Miami Heat. In fact, only the Jazz and Nuggets have shot the 3-point shot better than the Heat in the playoffs. On the other hand, the Celtics are the worst 3-point shooting team remaining in the playoffs. They ranked 13th out of the 16 teams that qualified for the postseason.
The Heat has five players that are shooting 36 percent or better from 3-point range. That’s not including Jimmy Butler who has shot 50 percent from deep in the playoffs (but on only 2 attempts per game). Boston only has one player that is shooting at least 36 percent from deep (considering sample size) in the playoffs, Jayson Tatum.
If Miami is going to beat Boston in the Eastern Conference Finals, you have to think that 3-point shooting will play a big role in that happening. The great thing about Miami’s shooting is that on any given night, any one of them can hurt you in a big way.
This series is legitimately a toss-up, but there is a blueprint for the Miami Heat. Question is, will they be able to pull it off?
