Jrue Holiday

If the Bucks elect to pass on Chris Paul, Jrue Holiday might be their next best option at the point guard position. There’s a good chance he could be available this offseason, especially if the Pelicans are ready to hand over the keys to Zion Williamson and their young prospects. With that said, there’s not much of the Bucks roster that would get New Orleans excited about such a deal.

First off, the Bucks would almost have to find a third team to get Eric Bledsoe off the books, assuming the Pelicans don’t want him (why would they in this hypothetical?). Then, the Bucks would have to give a first-round pick (or two) along with a young, promising piece(s) such as Donte DiVincenzo and D.J. Wilson to even keep the Pelicans on the phone call.

On the court, Holiday would be a solid addition. While he might not have the experience of a Chris Paul, Holiday is one of the most underrated point guards in the NBA and is one of the best two-way guards in the league. He’s a good shooter, can play on or off the ball, and can run the offense for the Bucks.

He might not be a big name that would get Milwaukee fans excited immediately, but after watching him play there would be no question regarding his value as a basketball player.
