NBA: 4 teams who should be interested in a potential Russell Westbrook trade

There’s a big reason why I place an asterisk on the Indiana Pacers. That’s because the only reason why I think this type of deal would work is if Victor Oladipo demands a trade during the offseason. If he does, why not send him to the Houston Rockets in a larger deal for Russell Westbrook (especially if they could get a draft pick or two as well).

Westbrook might not be an ideal exchange for Oladipo, but if you’re going to lose him for nothing why not try to bring in an all-star with a chip on his shoulder and surround him with good shooters. He’d be a fit next to Malcolm Brogdon’s shooting and could be the lead guard for a team that needed one in the postseason.

If you could snag a determined Westbrook, perhaps he could transform into something close to his NBA MVP form. He might not ever be that player again, but he could be something close to that with the supporting cast that the Pacers have put around Oladipo right now.
