Can the Denver Nuggets carry their moment vs. LA into Game 4?

The Denver Nuggets have truly earned their reputation during these 2020 NBA Playoffs with their never say die attitude and being resilient while facing adversity. Down 3-1 in both the first round and the Western Conference semis, they came back to win both series as they have shown an uncanny ability to be at their best whenever their backs are against the wall.

The Los Angeles Lakers attempted to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals with a trip to the NBA Finals on the line, but this Nuggets team had other plans. After a back and forth battle between big men Anthony Davis and Nikola Jokic in the 4th quarter of Game 2, the Lakers stole a victory as Davis made the game-winning jump shot at the buzzer giving the Lakers a 2-0 advantage.

The Nuggets were in a prime position to get the win but a misunderstanding on the in-bounds play cost them the victory. One would believe that a loss of that magnitude would kill a team’s spirit and lower their morale while knocking the fight out of them, but that doesn’t apply to these Nuggets.

The Nuggets stormed back in Game 3 as they outrebounded the Lakers 44-25 which counted as the fewest rebounds the Lakers had in a game since 1992. The Nuggets also went up as much as 20 points which is the largest the Lakers has had this entire postseason. The Lakers six-game winning streak was snapped as the Nuggets have now made it a competitive series and will be looking forward to tying the series at two games apiece in Game 4.
