Digging into the big decisions ahead for the LA Clippers

With the LA Clippers’ season being officially done, and after having aired out all the dirty laundry in the locker room publicly, it is now time for head coach Doc Rivers and the front office to figure out how they continue and move forward into the 2021 NBA season.

Not only will they need to figure out how to rebound from such a disappointing season in which they came in the overwhelming favorite to win the West, and in many analyst’s opinions the favorite to hoist the Larry O’Brien trophy after the Finals as well. The Clippers brass will have a tough task in figuring out the chemistry of this team as that looks to have been one of the main components missing from their 2020 NBA playoff run.

Many things went wrong in the Orlando bubble for the LA Clippers but paramount among all of them had to have been their chemistry out on the court. Already we’ve heard plenty of potential excuses since they were eliminated by the Denver Nuggets.

Players missed time from the team, guys were load managing, guys didn’t want to practice regularly with the team throughout the season, some guys are getting special treatment and don’t deserve it, and so on and so forth. The bottom line here is coach Rivers and his team came up short again and they have to figure out a way to fix this and transform this team into the one we all envisioned to finally get this franchise over the hump.

This franchise still has never made it to a conference finals. Knowing the type of talent the Clippers have had the past 10 years alone, although sometimes being a little overrated there is still no excuse for all of the early exits from the postseason during Doc Rivers’ tenure.
