Philadelphia 76ers: 4 big-name shooters to target in the trade market
4 big-name shooters the Philadelpiha 76ers could target
The Philadelphia 76ers are heading into an offseason of uncertainty. A lot of what happens to this team’s roster will depend on who is named the team’s next head coach. After seven years with the Sixers, the team elected to part ways with Brett Brown.
Even though Brown wasn’t a terrible coach per se, it’s also a decision that wasn’t exactly all that surprising – especially considering that the team was swept out of the playoffs by the Boston Celtics in the first round. It was time for a change all around and, unfortunately, Brown ended up being at the wrong end of that decision.
From all indications, it appears that the Sixers’ job has come down to two candidates (now that Billy Donovan has accepted the Chicago Bulls job) – Tyronn Lue and Mike D’Antoni. According to some reports, it’s Mike D’Antoni’s job to lose at this point. If this is indeed the case, the Sixers will have to make some serious adjustments to its current roster.
One potential big change that needs to happen – the Sixers need shooters. In a world where the Sixers hire Mike D’Antoni, we explore four “big-name” shooters that the team could target via the trade market ahead of the 2021 season.
(Note: Mike D’Antoni has not been named as the head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers; I can’t make that clear enough)
