12. Sacramento Kings – Aaron Nesmith, F, Vanderbilt
The Sacramento Kings have plenty of unknown heading into the offseason and there are even whispers that they could trade Buddy Hield. Heading into the 2020 NBA Draft, I don’t think it would be surprising for the Kings to target a 3-point shooter. One potential fit at this point in the draft is Aaron Nesmith.
In only 14 games during his sophomore season, Nesmith averaged 23 points and five rebounds on an absurd 52 percent 3-point shooting clip on eight attempts per game. Even though it was a small sample size, Nesmith has shown some promising signs as a prospect.
If the Kings have to move Hield, adding another shooter like Nesmith (on a cheap contract) could the next best thing. Plus, who knows, maybe Nesmith could develop into a better fit for the Kings than Hield.
