3. Charlotte Hornets – James Wiseman, C, Memphis

One of the biggest glaring needs for the Charlotte Hornets falls in the frontcourt, specifically at the center position. Even though this position has become somewhat of an afterthought in today’s NBA, it’s still something that the Hornets should address with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. Especially if a player like James Wiseman is still on the board.

He may not have much of a sample size in college (he only played in three games) but he was mightily impressive. Wiseman is coming off a shortened freshman season in which he averaged 20 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks per game on 77 percent shooting from the field.

Wiseman is still very much a raw offensive prospect, but he has all the tools and intangibles to be a really good player – if not great – at the next level. Wiseman may not be a star from the opening jump in the NBA, but he could quickly become one of the better frontcourt players in the league sooner rather than later.
