James Harden on the Philadelphia 76ers

With James Harden on the Philadelphia 76ers, there would be no question who the number one guy would be. Even Embiid, with all his bravado and swag, would relinquish the reins of the 76ers to James Harden.

A player like James Harden unlocks the potential of the 76ers. They will finally have the floor spacing that they have so badly wished for since Ben and Joel came together.

The 76ers were an absurdly tall team with no floor spacing. With Simmons at 6-foot-10, Embiid at 7-foot, Harris at 6-foot-8, and Horford at 6-foot-9, while they lose size, they gain floor spacing, which is worth it.

Harden steps into the point guard spot opened up by Ben Simmons and in turn, opens up the floor for the 76ers and allows an up-and-coming talent in Matisse Thybulle to get the minutes vacated by Josh Richardson.

If Mike D’Antoni became coach of the Sixers, you can bet he will make a move to land a stretch-4 in place of Al Horford (a league-average 3-point shooter).

The 76ers could make a further move and trade Al Horford to the Cavaliers for Kevin Love which would even further spread the floor for the Sixers. Love is also a great passer for his position and allows for a more free-flowing game that D’Antoni is known for.

A very dangerous starting lineup. Joel Embiid and James Harden would be a monstrous duo that could take the NBA by storm.
