September Takeaways and predictions for the NBA Finals

This was the longest and weirdest NBA season in history, and September may have been the weirdest month out of all of them. It had an LA Clippers collapse, a zombie Denver Nuggets team that refused to die, the top overall seed losing in five games, and a resurrection of Playoff Rondo. Like I said – weird month.

All of that has culminated in an unlikely matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat in the NBA Finals. L.A. vs. Miami, LeBron James vs. Pat Riley, Jack Nicholson vs. Flo Rida, Miami Vice vs. NCIS: Los Angeles. What a matchup.

This month’s prediction will all be NBA Finals based, so we’ll eventually get to that. But first, let’s take a look at some of the top story lines from September, starting with the not-so-great second-round exit for the Milwaukee Bucks.
