Doc vs. MDA: Which coach is the better fit for the Philadelphia 76ers

Brett Brown was viewed as one of if not the main issue with the Philadelphia 76ers this past season, especially after the Boston Celtics swept the Sixers in the first round of this year’s Eastern Conference playoffs.

The franchise elected to part ways with Brown after seven seasons in which the team went 221-344 (39.1%) in the regular season and 12-14 (46.2%) in the playoffs during his tenure as head coach.

The Sixers will now look ahead to the 2021 season, getting Ben Simmons healthy after his knee injury he suffered in early August, Joel Embiid in shape, and now finding a replacement for Brown. According to recent reports, it seems like the Sixers job will come down to Doc Rivers and Mike D’Antoni, two coaches that recently lost their jobs with the LA Clippers and Houston Rockets, respectively.

Assuming these reports are true, I will break down how both D’Antoni and Rivers could fit in Philadelphia and ultimately, who should the Sixers hire between the two.
