Miami Heat adjustment No. 1: The starters must play like starters

The Heat starters combined to score 49 points as they must become more productive if they want to keep up with the Lakers on the scoreboard. Jimmy Butler and Jae Crowder were the only starters in double-figures while Bam Adebayo, Duncan Robinson, and Goran Dragic combined for only 14 points.

Adebayo went 2-8 from the field (before exiting due to injury) while Robinson was held scoreless missing three attempts from 3-point range. Dragic chipped in six points before leaving the game with an injury and was unable to return. Plain and simple, Adebayo (if he plays) must play similar to the way he did in the Eastern Finals when he averaged 21.8 points on 59.7 percent shooting with 11.2 rebounds.

If the Heat’s starters are going to have any success against the Lakers, they’re going to need more from Duncan Robinson than just three shot attempts. If that’s the case, there’s really no point in him playing.
