Miami Heat adjustment No. 2: On the injuries

It was confirmed that Goran Dragic suffered a torn plantar fascia during the first half of Game 1 and will more than likely miss the rest of the series. This is a major blow for the Heat considering how well Dragic has performed this entire postseason.

Kendrick Nunn, whose minutes have dramatically decreased during the playoffs is the most likely candidate to replace Dragic as he scored 18 points off the bench in Game 1. During the regular season, Dunn averaged an efficient 15.3 points per game and started often as the Heat hope he can replicate his performance from Game 1.

Bam Adebayo was officially diagnosed with a neck strain and has been listed as doubtful for Game 2. At this point, it’s unknown if he’s going to play again this series. Jimmy Butler also tweaked his ankle but continued to play throughout Game 1. They can’t afford to suffer any more injuries as they will need a full team effort and all hands on deck against the Lakers.

Injuries are not somethin the Heat can control, but they just need to continue to adjust based on who will be available in Game 2.
