Miami Heat adjustment No. 4: Inexperience a factor for the Heat

The only players currently on the Miami Heat’s roster with any major playoff experience are Jimmy Butler and Andre Iguodala. Butler has been to the playoffs as a member of the Bulls, Timberwolves, 76ers, and now the Heat and has definitely seen his fair share of letdowns and disappointment.

If anyone understands the grind and rigors of the playoffs it’s Butler. This is Iguodala’s sixth consecutive trip to the NBA Finals, and knowing what to expect in a championship series should be of some value as his guidance and advice should help the younger inexperienced players on the roster.

Iguodala and Udonis Haslem are the only Heat players with an NBA title and know how difficult it is and what it takes in order to win on this level. The Heat’s younger players will have to go through the hardship and learn on the fly which may be a tough obstacle to overcome considering the championship experience the Lakers have on their roster.

The Lakers have at least six players who have played in the NBA Finals before. The Heat must realize the rare and coveted opportunity in front of them and focus on the task at hand, experienced or not.
