New York Knicks get the opportunity to draft LaMelo Ball

If the New York Knicks truly believe that LaMelo Ball has the opportunity to be a franchise player, I wouldn’t be surprised if they would go all-in by trying to acquire the first overall pick from the Minnesota Timberwolves in an attempt to get in position to acquire the big-name guard.

However, in order to sell this deal to the fans, they would have to be 100 percent sure that LaMelo Ball is a headline star and that he actually pans out. As expected, such a move would be costly. Predictably, it would cost the two first-round picks that the Knicks have this year and (likely) a protected first-round pick in the future. Maybe even one of their young players, such as Kevin Knox.

LaMelo has everything you want in a future superstar – he has the size, potential, and look of a big-time player. He’d have to be able to develop in New York’s system and have the ability to play off RJ Barrett and Mitchell Robinson.

If the Knicks want to get their hands on LaMelo Ball, this is the way.
