The San Antonio Spurs make waves, trading both LaMarcus Aldridge and DeMar DeRozan?

Another team that could make some serious waves in the trade market on NBA draft day is the San Antonio Spurs. San Antonio will likely be headed into somewhat of a rebuild this offseason and that could start with moving one or both of LaMarcus Aldridge and DeMar DeRozan (assuming he opts into the final year of his contract).

Both of those players are considered expiring heading into the offseason and could be on the trade block on draft day. If the Spurs are looking to add more draft capital in the 2020 draft, it would be smart for them to try and find a deal on draft night.

I’m not sure if any teams picking ahead of them would be interested in any of these players for a higher pick, but almost everything will be on the table heading into draft night. Perhaps the Spurs could package their No. 11 pick with Aldridge or DeRozan to try and trade up?

I may seem unlikely, but we’ve seen stranger things transpire on draft day.
