4. Wilt Chamberlain and Jerry West
Wilt Chamberlain and Jerry West teamed up in 1968 and played five seasons together. Mostly known as “Mr. Clutch” and the image on the NBA logo, West was a fundamentally sound point guard as well as a great shooter and facilitator.
Chamberlain, also known as” Wilt the Stilt” and also the” Big Dipper” was a skillful and finesse player who could be a brute force whenever he wanted to impose his will. He was also a premier shot blocker and might have become the NBA’s leading shot-blocker if it was kept as a stat back then.
Chamberlain holds the record for most points scored in an NBA game with 100. Chamberlain and West went to the Finals in four of the five seasons they played together and were only able to win once in 1972. Chamberlain retired in 1973 ending the spectacular run for this duo as they were responsible for bringing the first title to the city of Los Angeles.
