1. LeBron James and Anthony Davis

In their first year as teammates, AD and LeBron has exceeded expectations and has cruised to the NBA Finals as they have a chance to be special and write their own chapter as one of the greatest duos in Lakers history. It is still to be determined where they would rank among the other duos on this list due to them just getting started, but they have gotten off to a great start and don’t seem to be letting up anytime soon.

Both King James and AD know the opportunity that lies in front of them and they will take full advantage. As long as they both remain healthy and continue to perform at elite levels, AD and LeBron will be involved in these conversations and continue to draw comparisons and may even set the standard for future Laker duos.

The pair have made their own history during these 2020 playoffs as they have become the first teammates since Elgin Baylor and Jerry West to combine for 500-plus points, 200-plus rebounds, and 100-plus assists in their first 10 playoff games. They also became the first Laker teammates since Shaq and Kobe to both score 30 points in a playoff game.

LeBron and AD play their roles to perfection. AD usually sets the tone throughout the course of the game while LeBron usually closes out. Both are capable of defending and playing multiple positions and are versatile in all facets of the game.
