NBA Mock Draft: Warriors trade for Myles Turner, Pacers snag a franchise player

With a little more than a month until the 2020 NBA Draft, there is still plenty of unknown about this draft class. One of the most interesting storylines that could unravel in the month leading up to the draft revolves around what the Golden State Warriors will do with the No. 2 overall pick.

On one hand, they could just take the best player available and make it all work. Who would doubt the Warriors and this team’s ability to make the best out of any situation? On the other hand, and potentially the most entertaining of options, the Warriors could trade the pick for a veteran star/player that could help them compete for a championship in 2021.

In this hypothetical NBA Mock Draft, I decided to mock in a way with the Warriors electing to go with option No. 2. In this scenario, they trade the No. 2 overall pick to the Indiana Pacers in exchange for Myles Turner.

Of course, there’d have to be some salary cap adjustments but let’s move forward with the scenario in which the Warriors trade their pick for Turner. Let’s take a look at how the rest of the NBA Draft would unravel.
