Victor Oladipo could start at point guard and play off of Jimmy Butler for the Miami Heat

Adding a player like Victor Oladipo would do wonders for the Heat. One of the first questions would revolve around where to play him. Initially, I think Miami would start him next to Jimmy Butler and Duncan Robinson. With the way Jimmy and Bam Adebayo can distribute and initiate an offense, Oladipo could “start” at point guard.

When healthy, Oladipo is a good defender that could check multiple guard positions. He could also help defensively, considering Robinson is still very much of a work-in-progress on that end of the floor. He’s a good enough shooter to stretch the floor and has the ability to create his own shot when needed, which is something that the Heat desperately missed at certain moments in the playoffs.

Oladipo would be a seamless fit offensive and would fit on defense. He’d benefit from playing off of Jimmy and Bam and would be set up to succeed by Miami’s great coaching staff, which was on full display during the postseason.
