Comparing the Los Angeles Lakers to other NBA champs

The longest NBA season in history is officially over and I for one completely forgot what to do with my time when there is no basketball to watch.

Trying to watch sports talk television right now is an endless torture chamber of GOAT (greatest of all-time) debates that stopped being fun before they even began and hot takes about anything that can fill a four-minute segment so their social team can have something grabby to tweet out that day.

So instead, I decided to dive into this year’s Los Angeles Lakers because I think they’re weird – in a good way. They play a different style than what most modern NBA teams have evolved into and they did it in the strangest season in the history of sports.

So I wanted to try to put what they did in context and put their resume up next to all the other great teams that we’ve seen this century to see how they stack up.
