Will the Golden State Warriors make a trade to improve their roster?

The Golden State Warriors are in one of the most unique positions imaginable. The group in which the Warriors currently have are two-time NBA champions.

They have the two greatest shooters/best shooting guard combo in NBA history in two-time MVP Stephen Curry and All-Star Klay Thompson. They have a former No. 1 overall pick in Andrew Wiggins on the roster.

They have a former Defensive Player of the Year/former all-star Draymond Green, they have a stellar front office and coaching staff, and oh yeah, they have the second overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

It could be said that Curry and co. have taken a long-overdue sabbatical after years of championship contention. A grind that was incredibly visible as several key players began to fall apart during the course of their last title run against the Toronto Raptors in the 2018-19 season.

Having fully rested Klay Thompson’s injury, having been precautious with Steph Curry’s injury during the season, and having taken time to look at young players who now seem to be part of the roster going forward.

It could be said that the year break could have set the Warriors up for future domination.

The Warriors are in an enviable position. They have the ability to draft a potential franchise cornerstone with the second overall pick, but they could also trade the pick and bring in another veteran who might put them over the top once again. Can the Warriors improve their roster? You better believe they can.

Here are three trade ideas that the Golden State Warriors could make to get better.
