A long shot offer for Bradley Beal

The Washington Wizards may not be openly shopping Bradley Beal, though would they decline an offer that includes the No. 1 overall pick, a future pick, Jarrett Culver, and another young piece from the Minnesota Timberwolves. Perhaps. But there’s no question that the Wolves should at the very least make a phone call.

A trio of Beal, Russell, and Towns certainly is talented enough to make the playoffs in the Western Conference. With the right coaching and supporting players, this is a team that should be in the mix. It would immediately add intrigue to the 2021 season and likely continue to appease Towns and the fan base.

Again, even if the Wolves make the phone call there’s a good chance that the Wizards don’t answer. But if Washington was looking for the perfect opportunity to hit the reset button, perhaps this offer would be it.

The Wizards have been clear in that they want to see John Wall and Bradley Beal together in 2021, but I wonder how much wiggle room that front office has at the moment. Could they change their mind?
