Milwaukee Bucks’ option No. 3: The No. 24 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft
It’s not a lottery pick, but the 24th selection in the draft does have value. There are plenty of intriguing prospects the Bucks could consider drafting but it has to be a player who can contribute immediately. There may be several prospects still available who the Bucks could consider depending on how the draft unfolds.
Michigan State point guard Cassius Winston would be an ideal fit due to his extensive experience playing in big games which should help him at the NBA level but his defense must improve. The Bucks could also give Devon Dotson and Tre Jones a look if they are still available. They could also trade the pick along with a player or two in order to clear salary-cap space in case they need it in the future.
If not, they should strongly consider trading the pick possibly for future assets in the event of Antetokounmpo departing. If no one captures their attention, then they could trade the pick for a veteran who can come in and play alongside Antetokounmpo and take the pressure off of him.
