Brooklyn Nets: B-
Playing with a muddled roster can’t be easy, and the Brooklyn Nets wrung out as much as they possibly could from what was available on the team. Kevin Durant sat out the entire year and Kyrie Irving played only a chunk of the season. This team was held together by a core of Spencer Dinwiddie, Joe Harris, Jarrett Allen, and Caris LeVert (who was injured for a time but had a fantastic season when he played). Kudos to them.
Brooklyn making it to the Orlando bubble and putting up a good fight against the Toronto Raptors in the playoffs was impressive. They lost 4-0 but held their own, as they were able to display versatility and composure.
This season seemed to be a test in order to gauge who will be the most compatible around Durant and Irving. As the noise around Brooklyn’s two newest stars continued – the remainder of the squad did quite well blocking it out and playing their brand of basketball.
The Nets constantly played hard throughout the season and playoffs. Even if they lost they would always be swinging as hard as they could. That’s why I am giving them a B- overall – and they definitely deserve it.
