Philadelphia 76ers: C

The Philadelphia 76ers had a…decent season? I guess? Philly is going to be graded as a, “meh,” – not quite on par with expectations.

The Sixers came into the season losing Jimmy Butler and J.J. Redick, two key contributors for the Sixers, especially in the playoffs. They filled these two holes with Josh Richardson and Al Horford – two complementary additions that could blend well with Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid – unfortunately, things didn’t come to fruition.

They had come off a postseason in which they were one missed shot away from possibly moving on to the conference finals. Who knows how they would have played against the Bucks – it doesn’t really matter. They had the momentum and a spark to continue a positive trajectory.

The Sixers ultimately slumped their way through the season – showing glimpses of cohesion but would then vomit up lackluster and discombobulated performances – an ill-fated dichotomy.

Like other teams mentioned, the injury plague attached itself to this squad as well. Just as the Disney bubble had commenced, Ben Simmons injured his knee and was out for the rest of the season. Philly ultimately lost in the first round, 4-0 against a great Boston team. They put up a fight in a couple of games, but their end was inevitable.
