2. Golden State Warriors – Anthony Edwards, G, Georgia

With James Wiseman off the board, the Golden State Warriors select the best player still available in the NBA Draft. That happens to be Anthony Edwards who should be an ideal fit with what the Warriors like to do. Edwards might be the best two-way guard in this draft and will likely need to play a role off the bench almost immediately.

That’s where he could excel with the Warriors. Even though Edwards average 19 points per game five rebounds and three assists per game, he still only shot 40 percent from the field and just 29 percent from 3-point range. If Edwards is going to emerge as a star in the NBA, he’s going to need to prove that he could be a more consistent shooter from deep.

Edwards has the measurables and talent that you want in a top-five pick. He will be an asset for the Warriors even if they eventually have to trade away this selection.
