7. Detroit Pistons – Killian Hayes, G, ratiopharm Ulm

Picking a No. 7, there are a number of ways the Detroit Pistons can go with the selection. One potential play is drafting Killian Hayes, a point guard that has shown the potential and ability to be a real difference-maker in the right developmental system.

Hayes continues to rise up draft boards and will likely continue to do so in the coming weeks during the pre-draft process. He’s only 19 years old and still has his best basketball in front of him. With the Pistons, there won’t be much pressure to perform right away and he’d be able to grow next to Blake Griffin.

Hayes may not be able to average great numbers during his rookie season but is the type of prospect that could end up paying dividends a few years down the line. For the Pistons, there’s no rush and he’d be an ideal fit and would be able to learn and grow beside Blake Griffin.
