New York Knicks could be a dark horse landing spot for Bradley Beal
A trade package that would land the New York Knicks Bradley Beal
Depending on how you look at it, a potentially steep price for the New York Knicks. Big rewards require big risks. This past season we have seen big risks work out brilliantly and backfire spectacularly.
The Los Angeles Lakers were chastised by the NBA community for shipping out Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, the 4th overall pick in the 2019 NBA draft as well as numerous picks for superstar Anthony Davis.
That gamble led to an NBA championship for the purple and gold.
On the other hand, the LA Clippers emptied the bank for Paul George, sending Danilo Gallinari, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Clippers’ first-round draft picks in 2022, 2024, and 2026, two first-round choices via Miami in 2021 and 2023, and the right to swap first-round picks in 2023 and 2025.
Fans of the Clippers can say that the trade included Kawhi going to the Clippers but if I recall Kawhi played for the Raptors and was a free agent. Oh well, it doesn’t matter, the Clippers got bounced in the 2nd round by the youthful Denver Nuggets.
A potential colossal mistake by the Clippers. There are two sides to every coin. Things can either go very right or very wrong.
For the New York Knicks, it is time for them to make a splash and swing for the fences and hope things go very right.
Bradley Beal makes sure that the New York Knicks will be heading in the right direction and with the past decade to look back upon as a decade relatively wasted, the Knicks could use a gamble.
Will it pay off? who knows but it is time for the Knicks to emerge from the shadows and re-enter the spotlight.
