Philadelphia 76ers trade target No. 1: Chris Paul

It should come as no surprise to see Chris Paul at the top of this list. He’s probably the best fit for the Sixers heading into the offseason and would make the most sense for where this team is and where they want to go as a franchise.

The Sixers are contenders in the Eastern Conference, or at least they should be viewed as one. However, they’re still a piece or two from being taken seriously as one. Should they be able to add a veteran leader and winner such as Chris Paul, they should jump all over that possibility.

Paul might be 35 years old, but he’s coming off a season in which he averaged 18 points, seven assists, and five rebounds per game on 49 percent shooting from the field and 37 percent shooting from 3-point range. He’s a proven winner and leader and might be exactly what the Sixers have been missing since trading away Jimmy Butler last offseason.

Trading for Paul would come at a price, but it certainly should be a risk that the Sixers are willing to take.
