Philadelphia 76ers trade target No. 4: Victor Oladipo

If Daryl Morey really wants to make a big splash during his first season with the Philadelphia 76ers, there might not be a better trade target than Victor Oladipo. He’s a big name with a big game. If he continues to look more and more like his old self, he would make a lot of people happy in Philadelphia should he be acquired.

At the top of his game with the Pacers, Oladipo was an all-star and a 19-point-per-game scorer. He’s a good facilitator, good athlete, great defender, and good 3-point shooter. He’d be an ideal fit considering that he can play both on and off-ball and would be a good compliment to both Simmons and Embiid.

The big question, of course, would revolve around Oladipo’s current contract situation and if the Sixers could actually afford him. But that’s something Morey could figure out and work out later. If the Sixers are looking for a high-ceiling, high-floor type of acquisition, there might not be a better option than Victor Oladipo – and, boy, would that be a splash.
