Ranking the top 25 NBA free agents for the 2020 offseason

While there are still plenty of unknowns about the 2021 NBA season, one of which includes when free agency will actually begin, the expectation is that over the next couple of weeks, the NBA offseason is set to be in full swing.

NBA free agency could begin as soon as November 21. In anticipation of a quick and chaotic offseason, we begin our offseason series by ranking the top 25 free agents for the 2020 offseason.

25. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope – KCP is coming off a solid performance in the NBA playoffs for the Los Angeles Lakers where he’ll almost certainly be back with the team, barring an outside team feeding in an absurd long-term deal.

24. Derrick Favors – He may no longer be a viable every night starter in the NBA, but it should be noted that Derrick Favors is not even 30 years old yet and could still play a vital role for a playoff team off the bench.

23. Marcus Morris – After being traded to the LA Clippers, Marcus Morris emerged as a starter for the team and is still one of the better 3-and-D players in this league. He might be the most sought after role player this offseason.

22. Christian Wood – As somewhat of an unknown, Christian Wood emerged during the latter portion of the 2019-20 season as a potential fundamental piece for the Detroit Pistons. At just 25 years old, his best basketball is still very much in his future.

21. Paul Millsap – The veteran presence on the Denver Nuggets, Paul Millsap could be a final piece for a contender playoff team. It’ll be interesting to see whether he seeks a big-money deal or if he is willing to take a bit less to compete for a championship again.
