18. Tristan Thompson, unrestricted

It’s actually difficult to believe that Tristian Thompson is still not even 30 years old. With that said, it’s amazing that he’s coming off arguably the best season of his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

After averaging 12 points, 10 rebounds, and two assists per game on 51 percent shooting from the field this season, he could be in line for a big contract this offseason. He might not be your prototypical stretch the floor big, but he’s one of the best frontcourt defenders in the league and a good rebounder. Those are traits that every team needs, especially one that hopes to compete for a championship.

Cleveland will likely have some interest in re-signing Tristan Thompson (though that could be complicated by what Andre Drummond elects to do), but there’s a good chance that he could decide that it’s time to leave Cleveland. Especially if he wants a chance to compete for a championship.
