17. Andre Drummond, player option
It was a bit confusing when the Cleveland Cavaliers acquired Andre Drummond at the NBA trade deadline, but there’s a good chance that he will be with the team once again this season. A lot of that depends on what he elects to do with his player option, but the fact that he only played eight games with the Cavaliers complicates things.
I’d have to think that the Cavs aren’t willing to let him just leave after just eight games. They will do everything they can to keep him beyond this season.
During his eight games with the Cavaliers, Drummond averaged 18 points, 11 rebounds, and nearly 1.5 blocks per game. Drummond is still a valuable player in today’s game even though he is not the floor spacer that many teams covet at the position in today’s NBA.
