Boston Celtics: 4 potential landing spots for Gordon Hayward if he wants out
Utah Jazz
One of the most interesting potential landing spots for Gordon Hayward could be the Utah jazz. It would be a reunion that would bring some sort of feel-good story to the NBA and one that also makes a lot of sense on paper.
The jazz is coming off a season in which it was quite impressive during the playoffs. Led by the continued development of Donovan Mitchell, and the strong performance from Rudy Gobert, the Jazz showed glimpses of potential greatness. Haywood would fit right in with what this team needs.
Hayward is a player that they could go to as a potential second or third option on the offensive end, is a good enough playmaker, and still a good defender in the right system. Plus, there’s continuity on both sides of a potential reunion.
Hayward wouldn’t be asked to carry the heavy load for the team and would be able to play a role he’d be comfortable with at this point in his career. Hey, we’ve seen stranger things in the NBA before.
