Boston Celtics: 4 potential landing spots for Gordon Hayward if he wants out

The Dallas Mavericks are another team that could emerge as a potential landing spot for Gordon Hayward. Even though the Mavs are not considered, at least on paper, a contender in the Western Conference, I believe this team is closer to contention in the West as many are willing to admit.

Led by the dynamic Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis, the Mavs could be a player or two away from being a real threat in the Western Conference. We saw how dangerous they could be, when healthy, in the first round of the playoffs against the LA Clippers this past season. Adding a player like Hayward could be exactly what his team needs.

Hayward is a good scorer that would be able to play off both Doncic and Kristaps as a third option. He wouldn’t be a liability on the defensive end and would give this team some much-needed experience. Dallas might have its sights set on something much bigger, but adding Gordon Hayward this offseason wouldn’t be a bad backup plan.
