13. New Orleans Pelicans – Patrick Williams, F, Florida State

The New Orleans Pelicans have one of the NBA’s most talented cores, led by Zion Williamson, and have another lottery pick selection that will only add to this team’s promise. This team’s future is largely dependent on how this team continues to develop. Adding a promising project such as Patrick Williams could help on that front.

In part, Stan Van Gundy was hired by the Pelicans to help develop its young players. That’s where Williams could potentially benefit the most from playing under SVG and next to this talented core. Williams wasn’t entirely consistent during his freshman season at Florida State but did enough to flash from time to time.

Williams is tall and long and is a great athlete. If he can ever figure out how to play effectively on the offensive end, the sky is the limit for Patrick Williams. And he’d create a deadly conversation next to Zion.
