2. Golden State Warriors – Anthony Edwards, G, Georgia

With the second overall pick, the Golden State Warriors could go a number of ways. Could they select a big man with this pick? Absolutely. Could they select the best guard still on the board? Absolutely. Could they take a big risk and potentially select the most dynamic prospect in the draft with the highest star power potential? absolutely.

However, when push comes to shove and when it’s time for the Warriors to make a selection, I believe that they’re just going to take the best player available on the board. In this scenario, that just happens to be Anthony Edwards, a 6-foot-5 guard out of Georgia.

There’s a belief that Edwards might actually be the best player on this in this draft class and some still believe that he’ll be the No. 1 overall pick in this draft. Having fallen to the Warriors at No. 2, this shouldn’t be any second-guessing here.

Edwards would be a great fit next to Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson and could offer this team so much needed depth.
