3. Charlotte Hornets – James Wiseman, C, Memphis

Should the board fall this way for the Charlotte Hornets, they should run to turn in their draft card. Or in this case, send it virtually. With the third pick, it would make a lot of sense for this team to simply take the best big still on the board.

That just happens to be James Wiseman, a 7-foot center out of Memphis. Wiseman has the most potential out of any big in this draft and he’s just scratching the surface of the player he can be when he reaches his ceiling.

Even after just playing in three games in college, Wiseman proved to be quite impressive. He dominated while averaging 20 points and 11 rebounders per game on 77 percent shooting from the field. His offensive game is still very much a work in progress but has flashed impressive potential due to his defensive capabilities and athleticism.

Wiseman would be a great selection and could end up being a star a few years down the line for the Hornets.
