Trade target: Victor Oladipo

I’ve been back and forth on both the value that Victor Oladipo carries at this point in his career and what the Indiana Pacers would be asking for such a deal, but acquiring him could be the move that Miami makes to help them take the next step as a contender this season and one that could help them bridge the gap to pursuing Giannis Antetokounmpo next offseason.

Again, plenty of this depends on whether Oladipo is even available on the open market and whether the Pacers would actually deal him – especially to an Eastern Conference contender such as the Heat.

Miami would get a great backcourt mate for Jimmy Butler, a player that can score, defend, and distribute, and a player that has a ceiling as an all-star. The Heat surprised many by making the NBA Finals last season, but this team is far from perfect. Victor Oladipo could help them take another step in their development as a contender.
