Trade target: Myles Turner

This could change if the Minnesota Timberwolves target James Wiseman with the top overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the team tried to target a rim protector to play next to Karl-Anthony Towns. One potential option is Myles Turner, should the Pacers elect to move him.

Turner has had his ups and downs throughout his short career but has proven through and through to be a good rim protector. He also has the ability to stretch defenses with his 3-point shot, so he wouldn’t clog the paint either.

There are still concerns about this fit overall but if the Wolves could find a defensive anchor to help this young core, you could make the case that they could be involved in a playoff race for one of the final spots in the Western Conference next season.
