Trade target: Victor Oladipo

While many will be surprised not to see Chris Paul as the New York Knicks’ primary trade target for the 2020 offseason, I believe that acquiring Victor Oladipo makes more sense. Oladipo is younger, falls in line better with this team’s core, and will have a smaller cap hit over the next couple of seasons.

Even though he hasn’t bounced all the way to his former all-star self after his quad injury, he has shown flashes of brilliance during his return. As he continues to make strides in his recovery and shakes off rust, he should round back into form.

If the Knicks have patience, Victor Oladipo would be a good building block for the Knicks to place next to RJ Barrett and Mitchell Robinson. Plus, New York could probably get Oladipo easier than Chris Paul on the trade market.
