Trade target: Victor Oladipo

If the Toronto Raptors believe that they’re going to lose Fred VanVleet in free agency (and there’s a growing chance that it happens unless the Raptors are willing to give him a huge extension. As a potential replacement, the Raptors could target Victor Oladipo in the trade market. Interestingly enough, they could potentially offer a sign-and-trade with VanVleet (if Indiana would be interested).

Oladipo would fit on this Raptors team and could give them a bridge to the next era of Raptors basketball as it moves away from Kyle Lowry (he’s a free agent in 2021). Even if it doesn’t work out with Oladipo in 2020-21, they could move on considering he’s an expiring contract. If it does, they will have a better shot at re-signing him.

The Raptors wouldn’t have to give up much and could end up getting another disgruntled all-star that could potentially help them take another step as a contender.
